Unlike other filling materials, Sculptra is based on poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), a biocompatible and biodegradable material that renews the skin structure from the inside out. After four weeks, a second procedure is necessary to ensure the best result.
Sculptra is injected in a pleasant atmosphere in our beauty clinic. Using the finest needles, the active ingredient is placed specifically where it is needed most. The treatment usually takes no longer than 30 minutes.
Results
You will notice an improvement in skin quality after the very first treatment. Several sessions may be recommended for optimal results. The full effect unfolds after a few weeks and lasts for up to two years.

Aftercare
Good aftercare is crucial!
Basically it comes to no major restrictions in everyday life and you will be socially acceptable again immediately after the treatment. However, you may experience minor swelling, redness and bruising immediately after the treatment; this is normal and usually subsides after a few days.
Care tips
We recommend that you strictly follow the instructions of our doctors to keep any reactions to a minimum:
What you after a Sculptra treatment should:
Cooling: Immediately after the treatment soft Cool (with a clean cool pack wrapped in cloth) to relieve swelling and discomfort. Do not place directly on the skin.
Massage, the most important aftercare measure - The 5-5-5 rule applies here: 5 minutes, 5 times a day, for 5 days.
- The treated areas should be massaged gently but specifically.
- This supports the even distribution of the product and helps to prevent the formation of lumps or hardening.
- Use a gentle moisturizer or serum to support the skin.
Also avoid the following:
- Sport & heavy physical exertionfor at least 24-48 hours.
- No make-up for 24 hours, to avoid infections.
- Sauna, steam bath, hot baths & direct sun/solariumAvoid for approx. 1 week.
- Alcohol: It is better not to use it on the day of treatment to minimize swelling.
- Further treatments (laser, microneedling, etc.)Keep at least 1-2 weeks apart.
